Small Business Digital Adaption Program
As part of the Business Resilience Package, the Victorian Government is offering grants to help SMEs embrace digital capabilities. The Small Business Digital Adaptation Grant provides sole traders, micro and small businesses with a $1,200 rebate on selected digital management tools, from suppliers that have partnered with the Victorian Government.
Eligible businesses can register to trial selected digital business management tools to adapt websites, transition to e-commerce and manage finances. After the trial period, registered businesses can purchase a product they have trialed and apply for a rebate of $1,200 to access that product for 12 months.
The program also offers free digital adaption training and workshops to help registered businesses adopt and implement online tools in their business.
If you have been considering a shift from desktop to cloud accounting such as Xero, embracing an e-commerce platform such as Shopify or new website using Squarespace now is a good time to switch.
Eligibility includes new products not currently used by the business, upgrade of an existing product with additional features that provide specific digital adaption capability (e.g. upgrading an existing website to an e-commerce site) or a product under the program that has been used by the business before (more than a year ago) that it would like to resume using. Existing users of the included products will not meet eligibility criteria and the program does not cover renewals of existing products or software licenses.
You must register to be eligible. Registrations close at the end of this month and purchase rebate applications will be open until 31 March 2021 or until funds are exhausted.
